Residents enjoy a thriving business district, San Marco Square, with upscale shops and casual and fine dining and lounges. There is a movie theatre on the square that serves food and drinks and offers a wide variety of first run films. Check out the fountain of lions and the gazebo in the middle of the square. You can make an evening of dinner and drinks and people watching with a stroll around the square. During Spring and Summer, the active neighborhood association, San Marco Preservation Society, hosts outdoor concerts and events. The San Marco Arts Festival draws big crowds in the Spring.

A favorite among the young and young-at-heart is walking to the duck pond to see the fountains and of course, feed the ducks. There are many parks throughout the neighborhood with playgrounds. Waterfront parks and seawalls are popular for fishing and watching the waves crash on stormy days. You might also enjoy taking the Skyway from the San Marco station to downtown and back for some great city and water views.
